A turnkey EPC (Engineering, Procurement, Construction) contract was signed between <\/span>Aksa Enerji \u00dcretim A.\u015e.<\/b> and <\/span>MUREL Yat\u0131r\u0131m \u0130n\u015faat A.\u015e.<\/b> for the implementation of <\/span>Aksa Plant A – Uzbekistan 240 MW Natural Gas Combined Cycle Power Plant Project (CCPP)<\/b>. The contract covered disassembly, engineering, procurement, construction, mechanical, electrical, assembly, testing, and commissioning stages.<\/span><\/p>

Phase 1: Disassembly<\/b><\/p>

The first phase involved the disassembly of a 240 MW power plant in Antalya, T\u00fcrkiye, which ceased operations as follows:<\/span><\/p>

  • 4 General Electric LM6000 gas turbines<\/span><\/li>
  • 4 OTSG-type steam boilers<\/span><\/li>
  • 2 Siemens SGT5 steam turbines and generators required for the combined cycle<\/span><\/li>
  • 3 transformers<\/span><\/li>
  • Auxiliary equipment, all steel structures, and piping<\/span><\/li><\/ul>

    Within four months, these components were disassembled, cleaned, painted, and packaged\/lashing operations were completed. The equipment was then transported by road and sea to Tashkent, Uzbekistan.<\/span><\/p>

    Phase 2: Assembly<\/b><\/p>

    The second phase involved the positioning of the equipment in Uzbekistan and included the following:<\/span><\/p>

    • 32,000 m\u00b3 of excavation<\/span><\/li>
    • 1,850 m\u00b3 of backfill<\/span><\/li>
    • 21,000 m\u00b3 of concrete<\/span><\/li>
    • 1,300 tons of construction rebar<\/span><\/li>
    • 21,000 tons of steel structure assembly and welding<\/span><\/li>
    • 2,100 WDI steam boiler welding<\/span><\/li>
    • Assembly and welding of 9,000 m\u00b3 of carbon and 3,000 m\u00b3 of stainless-steel tanks<\/span><\/li>
    • Assembly of two cooling towers with a capacity of 12,500 m\u00b3 each<\/span><\/li>
    • 7,500 m\u00b2 of panel cladding<\/span><\/li>
    • Installation of 54 BOP (Balance of Plant) equipment units<\/span><\/li>
    • 47,200 WDI pipe welding<\/span><\/li>
    • 13,000 m\u00b2 of tank and pipe insulation<\/span><\/li>
    • All electrical works of the power plant that including cabling, termination, and automation\u00a0<\/span><\/li>
    • Final commissioning\u00a0<\/span><\/li><\/ul>

      Both phases of the project were completed on schedule, despite challenges related to customs regulations between T\u00fcrkiye and Uzbekistan with logistical difficulties during disassembly and packaging process. There were no delays or adverse impacts on the contractual timeline.<\/span><\/p>
